Dr. Erica Holding - Program Coordinator
Dr. Erica Holding received her Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Connecticut and her Masters in Counseling Psychology from Rutgers the State University of New Jersey. She holds a Specialist Certification in Infant and Early Childhood Development (I.S.I.S.) from Rutgers and is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral level (BCBA-D). Her professional experience includes the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of children with a variety of developmental disabilities and behavior disorders in school, home, community, and clinic settings. She has presented at numerous national and international conferences on a variety of topics regarding child development. With over 18 years of experience working with families and professionals, Dr. Holding’s interests lie in the early identification of developmental delays in children, how to remediate these delays, and how to help parents bring out their children’s potential through effective early intervention and parent training.

Racing Ahead Supervisors
Racing Ahead supervisors work closely with parents to develop each child’s unique intervention plan, monitor progress, and make changes to each child’s program based on the response to treatment. Our supervisors are required to have a master’s degree in psychology, special education, applied behavior analysis, or a related field. Our supervisors also have 15 units of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) relevant coursework and relevant child development specialist experience and coursework. Our program supervisors conduct in-home visits; develop client goals; review data and monitor client progress; periodically videotape client sessions for supervision; make program modifications as needed; create appropriate data sheets; provide parent training and education; conduct quarterly developmental assessments; write progress reports; and conduct monthly meetings in the home or office with parents and other primary caregivers. Racing Ahead supervisors are dedicated professionals who work alongside families to ensure each child’s progress and development.

Speech and Language Pathologist
Our Racing Ahead speech and language pathologist (SLP) is responsible for conducting speech and language assessments and providing speech therapy as needed to children with or at-risk for autism and other developmental disorders. Additionally, our SLP evaluates and develops treatment plans in collaboration with other members of the intervention team to treat children with communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders which prevent normal speech. The speech and language pathologist provides assessments, establishes goals, makes recommendations, and creates progress reports in collaboration with the team. Our SLP holds certification from the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association and speech pathologist licensure in the state of California.

Child Development Specialists
Our child development specialists are compassionate professionals who are dedicated to ensuring the success of each child and family with whom they work. Our specialists are responsible for educating parents in typical child development and for teaching parents to stimulate their children and encourage them toward a typical developmental track. Child development specialists are responsible for implementing the specific programs as determined by the program supervisor for their specific clients as guided by our “Get Set!” and “Go!” curricula. Our child development specialists have a minimum of 2 years of college level coursework in psychology, education, child development, or a related field, and a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children with disabilities or at-risk for a developmental disorder. Child development specialists are evaluated on an ongoing basis and are expected to meet all Racing Ahead competencies and skills. |
